The success of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is influenced by speed in handling and quality of chest compression. The Quality Of Chest Compression is influenced by several factors, one of them is chest compression technique. The purpose was to identify the comparison of quality chest compression using leaning and not leaning technique.
This research method uses Quasy Experiment with resuscitation simulator based Cross Over Design which involves 88 Ners Professional Program Student respondents. Respondents were selected by using simple random sampling technique. Bivariate data analysis techniques using Dependent T-Test and Wilcoxon.
Bivariate test result using parametric test Dependent T-Test and Wilcoxon showed that quality of chest compression using not leaning technique is better than leaning technique with p-value < 0.05 ((P-value compression success = 0.000, p-value chest recoil = 0.000, p-value depth pressure = 0.038, p-value depth = 0.002, p-value speed = 0.000)
The conclusion is quality of chest compression using not leaning technique is better than leaning technique performed on resuscitation simulators. Researchers recommend that not leaning technique by lifting the heel on the hand during chest compression to improve quality of chest compression.
