HUBUNGAN ANTARA DEPRESI DENGAN KEJADIAN INSOMNIA PADA LANSIA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS TANJUNGPINANG
Abstract
Elderly is a condition where changes occur in every human being, such as biological, physical, psychological and social changes, these changes will affect all aspects of life. The elderly often experience psychological problems such as feelings of sadness, loss, loneliness and can cause depression in the elderly, causing one of them to experience sleep problems. This study aims to determine the relationship between depression and the incidence of insomnia in the elderly in the working area of Tanjungpinang Public Health Center. This study used a cross-sectional research design with a population of 228. The sample in this study was 145 respondents using random sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The research results obtained showed that the results of the Kolmogrov-Smirnov test with p value = 0.027 (<0.05) found that there was a relationship between depression and the incidence of insomnia in the elderly in the working area of the Tanjungpinang Health Center. It is recommended that the puskesmas provide health education, music therapy or do healthy exercise once a week for the elderly, and it is hoped that educational institutions can be used as a reference to add reading material in the library and can be useful for gerontological nursing or psychiatric nursing courses for the elderly.
